I was initially thrilled with this game when I tried it out. It’s a great game for young gamers and beginners. It’s very friendly in that way. This is most noticable in Toy Box Mode where your options are greatly limited and the amount of availible space in which to roam is much smaller.

It’s still fun but once all of the quests have been done, there really isn’t anything much else to do. Your limits on customization of the buildings and townsfolk are also limited to collecting complete sets instead of collecting the individual items. For example, when you customize one townsperson with a particular outfit, ALL the townspeople get that outfit.

Same with the buildings. One building customized, they’re all customized in the matching set. Again, this game is fun at first but once you’ve played through story mode about a dozen times and done all of the quests in Toy Box mode as well as collected all of the gold stars a bunch of in game achivements akin to the Xbox achievements then there’s really nothing more to do. I have to give the game a gold star for one thing that I personally consider an answer to the fans.

They finally gave us the opportunity to experience the Buzz Lightyear Game from the opening of Toy Story 2, something that I’ve always wanted to be able to do since seeing it for the first time.

I have been watching “Let’s Plays” of Toy Box mode on Youtube, and was excited about the various customization options it had for the people, aliens, and buildings. What I didn’t realize is that the PC version massively cut most of those options out of the game.

You can’t customize the individual parts of the any of them, and if you give a townsfolk some clothing ALL townsfolk wear the exact same clothing. The entire reason I purchased the game was for nothing. I really got screwed on that, I guess I should have done some research. This game played really bad on my PC.

I had a hard time controlling it and I am an adult. I don’t know if there was something wrong with the computer compatiblity on my PC or what. I got it for my son because he loves toy story and has been watching the game on You Tube and really liked it. It’s a fun game for my children but I don’t like the fact that the game requires the disc to play the game. I made a copy of the disc because I feared the disc would be scratched but the built-in copy protection won’t allow the game to start with the backup copy.

The shipping was very fast for this product, which was good since my grandson was desperate for it. He is having a great time using it. Toy Story 3 is one of his favourite shows, and the video game keeps it alive for him. Works good.

Fun game. I bought the game hoping my 4 year old will be able to play it coop with with me. While the game itself is very nice and full of content, technically its not very good. BTW this is normal for Disney titles as they like to hand over their licences to less accomplished studios. First of all, the controls are very loose. This is pretty bad for a platformer. In addition, I wasn’t able to set it to work with an xbox controller and ended up having to use xpadder. He is going through the levels though.
